About

...the Story

Song of the Frost Moon is an ongoing webcomic and visual novel about a mischievous young girl named Yen Nhi, her grouchy bodyguard and their entanglements with the supernatural world. Undoubtly it is greatly influenced and inspired by Pu Songling’s Liao Zhai Zhiyi, Wuxia, and folklore. There are two sections: The visual novel is plot-driven and focuses on fantasy and the political turmoils of a fictional country called "An Lac." Whereas the webcomics will be short stories concentrating on various supernatural romances.

Updates will be on Mondays.

...the Project

I started this project many years ago, though I am not able to pinpoint when. I believe it began when I first doodled an image of a young girl in a red cape walking through a winter forest with her hunting dog. It was then that I started penning a short comic about two sisters and the strange supernatural happenings that occur to them. But alas I did not have much confidence in my art and writing skills so I set it aside for a while. Yet after a while I would continue working on the project, and develope the characters and their world throughout the years. In that time many name changes, story revisions, and art improvements occurred... What was once a little story eventually grew and expanded in many ways I have never anticipated. All this because I was never able to leave it laying in the dust.

Even though I struggle a lot with this project, I continue to write and draw this story of mine mainly for fun, and because I love it dearly. It is my hope that readers will enjoy the story as much as I have creating it.
